Season 2 of DanDaDan officially wrapped up on September 19, 2025, with an explosive finale and an unsettling cliffhanger, where Momo witnessed an alien kiss Okarun. Will this put an obstacle in their developing romance? We won’t know until Season 3, but fortunately, we won’t have to wait that long.
The official website for DanDaDan confirms that Momo, Okarun, and Turbo Granny’s adventure with the supernatural will continue in Season 3. So, if you’ve finished the second season and can’t wait to find out what’s in store later, here’s everything you need to know about Season 3, including release date, episode count, which parts of the manga it will cover, and more.
When Can We Expect Season 3 of DanDaDan?
Although the new season has been confirmed, the official site hasn’t mentioned any set release date yet. However, there are grounds for speculating that we aren’t far from it. The gap between the previous two seasons was just over half a year, with Season 1 ending on December 20, 2024, and Season 2 beginning on July 4, 2025.
This could be due to the immense popularity DanDaDan gathered in such a short time. Science Saru didn’t hold back on giving the next season as soon as possible, so we predict Season 3 will be released in the first quarter of 2026.
However, take our speculation with a grain of salt, as delays can happen, considering Science Saru is busy with other anime, such as Sanda
Where to Watch DanDaDan and Its Previous Seasons
DanDaDan will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll and Netflix. In the US, Hulu is also an option for fans. Episodes are released weekly every Thursday, following the initial release at midnight in Japan on Fridays.
You can catch Season 1 and 2 on those streaming services as well, and be familiar with the plot before you tune in to Season 3. Since the anime adaptation is very loyal to the manga, there isn’t much filler you need to skip. Some episodes will be less action-packed, while some are heartbreaking.
The Plot of DanDaDan So Far, and What To Expect in Season 3
Season 1 of DanDaDan set the stage for the chaos that will ensue. We meet our protagonists, Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura, who is more commonly known as Okarun. The two are opposites, with Momo believing in the supernatural, while Okarun believes in extraterrestrial aliens. Little did they know, both exist, and their lives would never be the same.
Okarun is possessed by a yokai named Turbo Granny, who became a hesitant ally of theirs. Momo discovers that she has telekinetic powers. The two protagonists encounter various threats. One particular yokai that stuck with us is Acrobatic Silky, whose origins are tragic.
We are introduced to Aira Shiratori, who gained Acrobatic Silky’s powers. The audience is divided about her character due to how she initially treated Momo and Okarun. The other character is Jin Enjoji, known as Jiji, who was another obstacle. Season 1 ends with the Cursed House Arc.
Season 2 kicks off with Season 1’s cliffhanger. The tragic backstory we get is of the Evil Eye’s horrifying origins. Jiji takes pity on the yokai and allows him to inhabit him, but at first, he doesn’t have control over his new power.
Okarun learns how to strengthen his own powers to protect Momo against the Evil Eye. Later, we get a thrilling performance by HAYASii. The season ends with the teens facing off against extraterrestrial kaiju, and we are left with yet another cliffhanger.

The third season is expected to finish the last few chapters of the Kaiju Arc, as the second season concluded with Chapter 69. The following arc will be the Space Globalists Arc. Momo, Okarun, and their allies will encounter another alien group and be forced to stop them once again.
