The documentary arrives just five days after the BBC’s own Osbourne documentary, Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home, which airs October 2, 2025, at 9 p.m. GMT (1 p.m. ET). Paramount+ releases the trailer today, along with the release date.

What Is Ozzy: No Escape From Now Documentary About?

Ozzy: No Escape From Now is a feature-length documentary chronicling the final six years of Ozzy Osbourne’s life. It includes his 2019 fall and the neck injury that forced him to cancel his farewell tour. The incident led to a series of major surgeries and ultimately revealed his struggle with Parkinson’s disease, chronic pain, and declining health.

The documentary captures Ozzy’s attempt to keep creating music despite physical and mental challenges. It includes behind-the-scenes footage of him recording his collaboration with Post Malone (Take What You Want) and two full-length albums produced by Andrew Watt.

Directed by Tania Alexander, the documentary features interviews with Ozzy, Sharon Osbourne, and their children Aimee, Kelly, and Jack, as well as music icons such as Tony Iommi, Slash, James Hetfield, and Billy Idol. Watch the trailer below:

The documentary concludes with footage of Ozzy’s final performance, a surprise Black Sabbath reunion in Birmingham on July 5, 2025, just weeks before his passing. Initially not intended as a posthumous project, the film now serves as a tribute to Osbourne’s resilience, creativity, and legacy.
