A video of Brendan Fraser whispering something in Dwayne Johnson’s ear at the Toronto International Film Festival has been making rounds on the Internet, and we now know exactly what the actor said to his Mummy Returns co-star.
In the video, Fraser and Johnson can be seen holding each other close while the former says something that clearly meant a lot to the latter. Variety’s Clayton Davis has confirmed that Fraser whispered, “This is your moment” in Johnson’s ear.

The moment takes place before the screening of Johnson’s The Smashing Machine at TIFF, and while we don’t know the entire conversation between them, it’s still nice to see the bond between Rick O’Connell and the Scorpion King! P.S.: Here’s why the actor looked so different at the festival.
Brendan Fraser Is Also Excited for the Smashing Machine

The Smashing Machine is proving to be one of the year’s most anticipated films, and a lot of credit for that goes to Johnson’s unexpected pairing with Benny Safdie. Then there is the actor’s insane transformation into MMA/UFC fighter, Mark Kerr.
Needless to say, fans are looking forward to seeing Johnson in a completely new look in a project that is so different from what he usually does. Turns out, Fraser is just as excited.
Talking to People, Fraser said of the film, “I know, I can’t wait!” He added, “Dwayne, he’s a really great guy and it’s gonna be exciting to watch him emerge from this. I predict you’ll be seeing a lot more of him on these red carpets in the days to come.”
Fraser had attended TIFF for the premiere of his own film, Rental Family, a comedy-drama by Hikari that revolves around a lonely American actor in Tokyo who starts working for a rental family service.
Dwayne Johnson’s Emotional Reaction to The Smashing Machine‘s Reception
Johnson is stirring up Oscar buzz after the premiere of The Smashing Machine at the Venice Film Festival. The wrestler-turned-actor has earned many awards through his career, but has yet to be nominated at the Academy Awards, and the upcoming sports biopic might change that, especially if you look at its reception.

After its screening at the Venice Film Festival, The Smashing Machine received a 15-minute-long standing ovation from the audience. According to Variety, it was one of the longest at the festival this year.
As the crowd came to life around him, Johnson was seen wiping his tears and clapping his hands. Take a look at the heartfelt moment below:

At the festival, Johnson admitted that the “transformation was something I was really hungry to do” (via THR). He added that while he is grateful for the career he has had so far, he always wondered if he could do more.
He said, “I had been very fortunate to have the career that I’ve had over the years and to make the films that I’ve made, but there was just a voice inside of me, a little voice that said, ‘Well, what if I could do more — I want to do more and what does that look like?’“
The Smashing Machine was exactly what he wanted. The biopic is based on the life of MMA fighter Mark Kerr, with Johnson starring as the former wrestler and Emily Blunt as his then-wife, Dawn Staples.
