Tom Holland Hospitalized: Suffers Concussion After Falling During a Spider-Man 4 Stunt

Tom Holland was taken to a hospital after he suffered an injury while filming one of Spider-Man: Brand New Days‘ stunts. According to a report by The Sun, the actor may have cracked his head in the fall and was treated for a concussion.

However, The Hollywood Reporter doesn’t mention Holland cracking his head, and states that the insiders have described the actor’s injury as a mild concussion.

Moreover, The Sun claims that Holland wasn’t the only one injured on the Glasgow set that day, as a female stunt double was also rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. On the other hand, THR reports that no one but Holland was hurt.

A spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service recalled the incident, stating, “We were called at 10.30 am on Friday to attend to a patient who had sustained an injury at Leavesden Studios in Watford. An ambulance was sent to the scene, and the patient was transported to hospital for further care.”

Will Tom Holland’s Injury Affect Spider-Man 4?

Filming for Spider-Man 4 has been suspended fo

llowing the accident. Holland’s father, Dominic, attended a charity dinner in Mayfair where he confirmed that the young actor would be stepping away from filming “for a while.”

Holland was also present at the event with his fiancée, Zendaya; however, he left after a short while after feeling ill. As per Deadline, a source close to the production stated that he will be taking a break “out of precaution“, but will return to the set in just a few days.

Sony will be conducting a meeting on Monday to discuss their next steps and how to move forward with the production of the film that Holland has done everything to get right.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day: All You Need to Know

As the release date of the highly anticipated MCU film inches closer and closer, here’s a quick recap of everything you need to know about Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

The film will be released in theaters on July 31, 2026, as part of the MCU’s Phase 6, which kicked off in July with The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Spider-Man 4 was initially set to be released on July 24, but it was postponed so as not to clash with the release of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, a film also starring Holland.

While details about the plot remain under wraps, we know that it is going to be a street-level film. Back in March, Holland spoke at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, hinting at his upcoming movie. He said, “I know we left you with a massive cliffhanger at the end of No Way Home, so Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a fresh start. It is exactly that. That’s all I can say” (via GamesRadar+).

Now, let’s take a look at the cast of Spider-Man 4:

According to reports, Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk) and Michael Mando (Mac Gargan/Scorpion) are also returning to reprise their MCU roles in the film. Actors Tramell Tillman and Liza Colón-Zayas are also reported to be a part of the film, but their characters remain a mystery.

The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
