A second trailer for Dwayne Johnson’s The Smashing Machine has just been released, and the world is already going crazy over it. After receiving much fame and acclaim at Venice, the film is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release, and it might just be Dwayne Johnson’s finest performance yet.
The trailer starts with The Rock as Mark Kerr, sitting at a table and in a room filled with reporters, as he gets a warm welcome from them. Kerr seems grateful to each and every one as we are transported into a flashback sequence involving Mark Kerr’s professional career. Check out the trailer below:
The trailer is looking quite phenomenal, considering how the flashback scenes blur the lines between the past and the present due to the occasional voiceover of the present Mark Kerr sitting in that room.

The trailer doesn’t give the story outright, as it allows the viewers to find the story amongst a bunch of interconnected scenes between them. It starts off in the present and goes into the past when Kerr was a very successful wrestler who took a hit from his opponent.
Finding himself injured and humiliated, Kerr goes out of the arena and has a meltdown while Emily Blunt’s Dawn Staples tries to help him through the tough times.

The trailer constantly changes from Mark Kerr wanting to make a comeback while also trying to juggle his deteriorating marriage. Throughout his journey, Mark Kerr finds support from his then-wife, his friends, and his fans as he briefly starts taking Advil for the pain.
Fighting his inner demons as well as wanting to prove himself worthy of competing in the ring again, Mark Kerr finally makes a comeback into the arena and dons his boxing gloves again.
The trailer features several emotional and poignant moments of humbleness and the will to be a better version of yourself, as well as self-confidence. Delving back into the present, Mark Kerr responds to the reporters that he is aware of his questioning fame, but he accepts the regret.
As the world awaits his comeback, Mark Kerr gets mesmerized by everything around him in the fighting arena, and he learns to trust himself all over again.
The trailer is truly beautiful, and The Smashing Machine deserves every fame and award coming its way. After its fame in Venice, the world simply cannot wait any longer for the worldwide release of this movie.
