According to a prominent Switch 2 content creator, @SwitchForce, a Nintendo Direct is allegedly scheduled to happen on September 12, 2025. This can be rather true because Nintendo has a history of showcasing its best presentations during the month of September every year. While at this point, the gaming giant hasn’t confirmed anything, multiple sources are confirming September 12 (Friday) to be the alleged date.
SwitchForce has also made a plethora of leaked announcements that, if true, could be the next big thing in the gaming industry. Besides, we also think that Nintendo Direct in September is when you can see some big Mario content. Scroll down to know why.
Leaked Announcements for Nintendo Direct in September 2025

SwitchForce has fueled a speculation that cryptically suggests that the upcoming Nintendo Direct will feature game reveals tied to the number “7.” More specifically, it will be a jackpot-like show, as there will be three 7s, showcasing three games tied to this number. Most players are speculating that the following games with the number 7 can be revealed.
Games | Developer |
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 | Treyarch, Raven Software |
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth | Square Enix |
Ace Attorney 7 | Capcom |
Frankly, nothing about this has been confirmed yet; however, if the speculation about number 7 is true, you can expect either of the above games to be dropped during the showcase event.
Apart from this, a bunch of other announcements, like a possible port for Red Dead Redemption 2, can be revealed during this event. Since the Switch 2 is a capable handheld, it’s the right time for the developers to increase the prestige of Nintendo’s library. Moreover, a bunch of other announcements, including new major content reveals of games like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokémon Legends: Z-A, can also be revealed.
Hopefully, we will soon get a confirmation about a Nintendo Direct happening on September 12, 2025, in the coming few days.
Mario Can Play a Major Role in This Year’s Nintendo Direct

If nothing else, you can at least expect a major announcement regarding the world-renowned franchise, Mario, in September 2025. This is because September 13 marks the 40th anniversary of this series, as their first game, Super Mario Bros., was released in 1985.
Since Mario has been the face of the company for almost four decades, Nintendo surely won’t miss out on such a big occasion. The million-dollar question would be, what can they possibly offer when we have recently gotten a Mario Kart World game? Perhaps we can see an original title getting remastered or a celebration event at Nintendo Direct this September.
