A Brief Recap of Episode 12, and What to Expect in Lord of Mysteries’ Finale

In Episode 12, titled Bomb, Klein saw Dunn consuming Kenley’s remains, which terrified him to the bone. He tried to figure out the cause behind it, mainly concerned whether the captain was losing control, like Old Neil did.

However, this was the last of Klein’s worries, as Lanevus threatened Tingen with a bomb, informing them that it would grow the more they delayed. Leonard and the protagonist scramble to find it, only to realize Megose, the pregnant fiancée of Lanevus, is carrying the bomb. Dunn deduces it’s at least a Sequence 4 Mythical Being.

As Megose loses her sanity, the “baby” grows inside her, clawing its way out and transforming her into a grotesque being. Dunn and Klein rush to Leonard’s aide after picking up some artifacts to help contain the threat, but not before the captain explains what Klein saw.

What will happen in Episode 13? Leonard, Klein, and Dunn will face off against the transformed Megose. We might witness another death among the Nighthawks, mostly through sacrifice to save Tingen, and it won’t be an easy one to process. It will also set the stage for Season 2, so we can also expect Klein to be a changed man.
