John Cena vs. Logan Paul was an absolute banger at WWE Clash in Paris, settling the GOAT debate of WWE. On September 10, 2025, talking at the IMPAULSIVE podcast, ‘The Maverick’ stated that midway through his match, he realized,
Holy s**t, John Cena is so f**king good. He just, he is that good.
He then mocked the haters who claim wrestling is scripted.
However, he spared them, stating that it is a “fair assessment” when they don’t know much about the business. Paul explained that a lot of “intricacies” go into the match, where he is not only “working” but also “admiring” and “learning.” Check out the clip below:

He continued about how he felt that he was back in school, taking information from ‘The Cenation Leader,’ calling him the “greatest of all time.” Interestingly, that was not the only word of praise th at the former US Champion had for Cena. After their match, he took to his social media (via Instagram), stating, “He wrestles better than Pablo Picasso paints.”
John Cena vs. Logan Paul Became the Highlight of WWE Clash in Paris

When John Cena vs. Logan Paul was announced after SummerSlam 2025, it felt like WWE was wasting the limited dates of ‘The Last Real Champion.’ However, as their storyline progressed, it sparked intrigue among fans, especially due to the promos, where Cena called out Paul for his controversial past.
That was not all, because later that night, ‘The Maverick’ knocked him out with a hard right at the end of SmackDown. Their feud intensified even more as both men learned French and hurled insults at each other, hyping up the Lyon fans. But that was just the beginning because the real show awaited at the premium live event.
After weeks of digs and personal insults, both men squared off against each other inside the squared circle, showcasing their in-ring finesse. Deep in the match, ‘The Maverick’ started flaunting his high-flying and agile moves that nearly helped him put Cena away.
But the WWE veteran was not giving up so easily and dug deep, paying tribute to his rivals by using their moves. In the end, ‘The Chaingang Soldier’ defeated Paul, leaving him upset as he will not be able to settle the score with him unless he forces him to come out of retirement.
Logan Paul Has Earned John Cena’s Respect

It comes as no surprise that Logan Paul is the most hated man in WWE, where even at the mention of his name, the fans would start booing. After all, his personality and actions have made him a difficult figure to adore. But that does not deny the fact that he’s one of the most athletically gifted wrestlers, pulling off moves that one would not dare to do.
Appearing as a guest on the Pat McAfee Show, ‘The GOAT’ praised him, calling him “innovative” for taking his entrance to a whole other level and saying it was something that had not been done by other wrestlers previously. He said,
Logan Paul’s a stud. I texted him right away after his match. I’m like, ‘Dude, you are innovative.’ From his entrance to holding a drone to thinking on another level of like, I’m gonna swing big and try something different. I thought that was dope.
John Cena then talked about his performance, where he was impressed by his moves, and it is something that even he could not execute even if he were at “peak physical condition.” He praised him even more, stating that Paul executes athletic moves better than everyone in the locker room. He added,
Then his performance, he’s doing stuff that I couldn’t do at peak physical condition. So, regardless of if you like him or you hate him, he’s doing athletic moves that are better or as good as any of the ‘wrestlers’ out there, any of the trained wrestlers.
But what made the Peacemaker praise him is how he is unapologetically himself, who is not giving “two s**ts” about the hate that the WWE Universe throws his way. As a result, he believes that he is a great attraction and an “unreal” talent.
