Kishimoto Hints Naruto’s New Form: Boruto Could Give Him an Ability That Rivals Baryon Mode (Theory)

Naruto has been absent from the narrative in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, which could mean that Masashi Kishimoto might have a strong comeback for the character in mind. The power levels of the manga have reached new heights, and the Seventh Hokage’s strength sadly pales in comparison. Without Kurama by his side, the situation is even more dire. That’s why he needs to be stronger, and that’s the reason why Kishimoto could give him a power-up that rivals Baryon Mode.

Naruto Needs to Return Sooner and Stronger in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex

At the beginning of Boruto, Naruto was one of the strongest characters in the shinobi world. Since then, the power levels of the series have changed drastically. The characters, especially those associated with the Otsutsuki clan and the members of Kara, are astronomically strong in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Their abilities are far from grounded.

Naruto can’t compare with these characters in his current state. To be fair, this isn’t even his fight; it’s Boruto’s story, and he’s working his way up to more power. However, fans would not be happy if Naruto didn’t have his individual moments or a good send-off. He needs to be back in action, even if it happens a little later.

For that, he needs to grow significantly stronger, but he doesn’t have Kurama anymore. Baryon Mode was one of his strongest abilities, and he needs something as strong as that, if not stronger. So, Kishimoto doesn’t have much choice but to give the character a good power-up.

This power-up could be similar to one of the best techniques that was introduced in the original Naruto anime.

Theory: A Potential Power-up That Rivals Baryon Mode Could Be Perfect

Might Guy’s Eight Gates is a popular technique, which is also narratively important and lethal. The likes of Madara have acknowledged how good it is. Even without Kurama, Naruto has immense chakra supplies because of his lineage. Since he is an Uzumaki, his chakra could become the central focus of his upcoming power-up.

With a technique like the Eight Gates, he could find a way to temporarily use all of his chakra. He needs to remove the limiters and make his chakra his main weapon. This chakra can then be infused into different techniques or even hand-to-hand combat. Such a technique would squeeze out his true potential.

The consequences of the Eight Gates are detrimental, which could be a good way to remove Naruto from the main storyline, if that’s a part of Boruto’s ending plan. In this way, Naruto can contribute significantly to Boruto‘s final fight without taking away the focus from the titular character.
