According to a bunch of leaks surfacing online, Elden Ring Nightreign may soon get a new ranked mode, where you will be able to advance through different tiers. From the looks of it, this mode can be released earlier as part of the Deep of Night Expedition mode in this experience. Sadly, no concrete information or announcement is available yet; hence, you should take this news with a grain of salt.

While not specifically labeled as a “ranked mode,” the Deep of Night might bring a rating system along with it. As you progress through the different ratings or tiers, this mode will increase the night’s depth and notch up the difficulty. Sounds fascinating, right? Here’s what we know about this leaked ranked mode in Elden Ring Nightreign.
Leaked Details About Elden Ring Nightreign‘s Ranked Mode

As the leaks suggest, the ranked mode will have a total of five different tiers, each with a rating of 999 points. For a better understanding, here’s a detailed breakdown of all the tiers and the ratings required to progress to the next one.
- Depth 1: Rating 0-999
- Depth 2: Rating 1000-1999
- Depth 3: Rating 2000-3999
- Depth 4: Rating 4000-5999
- Depth 5: Rating 6000+
The only way to progress through the ratings is by winning. Registering wins in this mode will increase your rating points, and losing will reduce them. However, the leak also explains that a player can not lose a rank once they are reduced to Depth 2. It is the lowest they can go after losing their ratings. Upon increasing your ratings, the difficulty will certainly increase, making your playthrough challenging with each run.
According to the dataminers, Elden Ring Nightreign‘s ranked mode will have a matchmaking system that places you with players of equal rating. Although you can be placed with players of higher or lower ratings, the matchmaking is taking longer than expected.
One more thing that you should be concerned about is that some bosses might appear “magmafied” in the ranked mode. That being said, they might dish out additional damage and debuffs on you. However, to balance things out, you can unlock weapons with debuffs to weaken the enemy.
On top of everything, winning matches may also unlock three additional Relic slots. Therein, you can equip Relics that are exclusive to the Deep of Night mode. These extra slots will be locked during the regular playthrough.
When Might Ranked Mode Release in Elden Ring Nightreign

According to a post from Bandai Namco on their official web page, the Deep of Night is scheduled for release on September 11, 2025. If the above leaks are true, it is also the date when you expect the ranked mode to drop in Elden Ring Nightreign. Thankfully, all the major platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS4, and Xbox One, will be receiving this update on the same date, so no one is left behind.
Moreover, if you read the announcement from Bandai Namco, the details mentioned there are very similar to the leaks provided by the dataminers. Let’s hope the leaks are true, so we can indulge in new adventures soon!
