Song Ji-hyo (from Running Fame, A Frozen Flower, and Jumong fame) will be starring in an upcoming iconic film titled Home Behind Bars. The film just revealed its first poster alongside a release date of October 15 (via Soompi)
The film marks the directorial debut of Cha Jung Yoon, who depicts the relationship between a woman’s prison correctional officer, an inmate, and the inmate’s daughter. Check out the poster below:

Well, of course, the poster looks beautiful with a sun-kissed frame between two characters. The plot of the film is quite beautiful too, as Cha Jung Yoon takes on a philosophical approach in his directorial debut.
What is Song Ji Hyo’s Home Behind Bars About?
The intriguing premise of Home Behind Bars starts with Tae Jeo, a correctional officer at a women’s prison for 15 years. Even though she has a husband, something feels missing from her life.
One day, she finds out that one of her inmates has a teenage daughter. Meeting the teenage daughter, Tae Jeo sees a lot of herself in the teenager and becomes her guardian of sorts. The inmate finds out that Tae Jeo is taking care of her daughter outside the prison walls.
The story asks the question whether the mother will be able to reunite with her daughter outside the prison walls, or will Tae Jeo take her place while trying to be a good guardian?
Home Behind Bars Cast and Character Guide
With the story revolving around three characters, the film follows the life of the correctional officer, the inmate, and the inmate’s daughter. Naturally, the lead cast of the movie is filled with these three characters who are intertwined in Cha Jung Yoon’s film.
Naturally, it’s going to be a heartbreaking emotional flick with tons of wholesome moments and some emotional confrontations, but the film… will definitely be worth it.
