Helldivers 2‘s most recent Major Order has failed, and luckily, we are not losing our access to the Hive World – the home planet of Terminids. That being said, the Operation Righteous Reclamation is still active, and you will receive more Major Orders to prove your worth.
MAJOR ORDER: Operation Righteous Reclamation now enters its second stage.

While the competition was tough this time, you will have to go prepared next time to face those swarming Dragonroaches. Thankfully, the pathway to the Hive World is still active, and it can be used to make the Operation Righteous Reclamation a success on the second attempt in Helldivers 2.
Why the Hive World Remains Accessible Despite Failing the Major Order?

After failing the Major Order on September 9, 2025, Super Earth immediately sent a message to all the Helldivers that, despite losing the battle, Outpost Alpha still remains under their control. Moreover, since Outpost Alpha gives Super Earth an “unprecedented strategic access” to the Hive World, we did not lose access to it.
On top of everything, the Dragonroaches were able to mob the Helldivers but not capture Hellmire, the planet where Outpost Alpha is located. Hence, this failure wasn’t actually a loss but rather a setback, giving you future chances to meet the target objectives.
The Operation Righteous Reclamation will remain active as long as Outpost Alpha stands. So, your main objective is to protect the said outpost, or you will lose access to the Hive World permanently in Helldivers 2. Doing so will put you at a disadvantage in the ongoing Galactic Wars, and this might prove to be catastrophic.
Was the Major Order Supposed to Fail in Helldivers 2?

No Major Orders are meant to fail in Helldivers 2, so it’s unlikely that Arrowhead would purposely try to do any of that. It is just that the community collectively failed to complete the target, and hence, they have to face the outcome together.
If the Major Order was about liberation, it would have failed with dire consequences. However, since it was just about meeting the targets, we did not lose access to the Hive World and will gain more opportunities in the future.
Although we can’t say anything, as the Arrowhead can make things difficult at times, it can make things narratively better for future Major Orders. Let’s see what happens next in Helldivers 2.
