Helldivers 2 First Hive World Major Order Is Crumbling As Divers Now Face Impossible Odds

Helldivers 2’s Into the Unjust update was welcomed with excitement, but the Hive Worlds clearly didn’t share that enthusiasm. The first Major Order is now on the brink of failure… not because players aren’t fighting hard, but because the Hive Worlds are throwing everything at them.

With new enemies, new biomes, and the ominous gloom mechanics, the simple mission of collecting samples has become a nightmare, pushing Helldivers to their absolute limits and leaving many in disbelief.

Helldivers 2 Major Order Is On the Brink of Failure as Time Runs Out

Hive Worlds’ first Major Order, Operation Righteous Reclamation, felt like a bold first step into the home planet of the Terminids. The objective is simple on paper: extract 350 million Common Samples and 200 million Rare Samples from Oshaune while holding key outposts.

But it’s turning into a desperate struggle. In practice, it has become a logistical nightmare. Here’s where things stand:

ObjectivesTargetProgress
Extract Common Samples on OSHAUNE350,000,000183,059,549 (52.3)%
Extract Rare Samples on OSHAUNE200,000,00089,693,551 (44.8%)

With less than 20 hours left (at the time of writing), the math doesn’t lie; this Major Order is doomed at the current pace. Even the most dedicated divers can’t outrun these odds.

Why is it so hard? The Gloom had more presence than we anticipated. Due to its presence, evacuation shuttles take longer to arrive, Eagle re-arm times take 30% more time, ammo resupplies are scarce, and visibility is poor.

Meanwhile, the new enemy lineup is the nastiest: Dragonroaches rain destruction from the air, Hive Lord can change the battlefield, and rupture variants are hunting squads relentlessly. Forget about completing missions; even survival against these overwhelming forces is hard.

Was This Major Order Destined to Fail?

Helldivers are famous for finding humor and meaning even in defeat, but this time, the conversation has turned to theorycrafting. Many believe this Major Order was always designed by Super Earth to fail.

The theory centers on E-711, the element that has been harvested from gloom planets like Oshaune and is used to create dark fluid. We’ve seen the chaos a small amount can do, remember Meridia. So, the question is: why risk gathering it in massive quantities?

Some players are theorizing that this Major Order was not about spreading democracy at all, but it was all part of a dangerous scientific agenda that could backfire on Super Earth itself. All the technical issues also didn’t help much with the experience.

Whether it’s an intentional design choice or not, one thing is clear: Helldivers are staring down an impossible mission with no way to win, except by embracing the chaos.

What do you think, Divers? Did we just fail to complete the mission… or was this part of a bigger plan? Comment below to let us know.
