“He did it on purpose”: Breaking Bad Star Raymond Cruz Arrested After This Incident With a Child

Raymond Cruz was recently arrested after an unfortunate incident with a child. But wait, trust us when we say that it was nowhere near as bad as it sounds, because all he did was spray a child with a water hose when she didn’t move out of his way!

According to reports from TMZ, the police got a call from someone who claimed that The Curse of La Llorona actor had ass*ulted their daughter by allegedly blasting her with a garden hose. As a source familiar with the case confided to the outlet,

Cruz was washing his car and asked the girl to move out of the way. When she didn’t, she allegedly got sprayed and believed he did it on purpose.

Soon after this incident went down outside Cruz’s home in the Silverlake area of Los Angeles, the actor was reported to have been taken into police custody by the morning on suspicion of misdemeanor battery.

As per the latest updates from TMZ, Raymond Cruz has fortunately been released from jail on his own recognizance. However, he is due back in court in less than a month from now, on October 1.

TMZ previously reported that no charges have been filed in the matter, so far. Since it is a case of a misdemeanor arrest, it will be handled by the Los Angeles City Attorney.

With minor infractions like this, the City Attorney usually postpones prosecution and holds an office hearing, where the alleged offender is warned and, in some cases, agrees to anger management courses in exchange for dropping the charges.

Raymond Cruz is pretty famous for his hardcore roles, like his starring role as Detective Julio Sanchez in The Closer and its spinoff show Major Crimes, and recurring role as drug lord Tuco Salamanca in the crime-drama Breaking Bad and its prequel series Better Call Saul

But even with an established hardcore personality like that, netizens feel that his pulling off something like spraying a child with a garden hose isn’t really something worth being put behind bars for. Thus, this time around, they’re defending him – and pretty hilariously, at that, too.

Take a look at what some of them have to say on the matter on X:

Wellll, frankly speaking, even netizens aren’t wrong with their comments, because getting arrested for a minor ‘crime’ like this doesn’t exactly sound right; wouldn’t you agree?

Then again, the outcome of this turn of events remains to be seen for Raymond Cruz.
