Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom will have some tough opponents to beat if he expects to survive Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. One deleted scene from The Fantastic Four: First Steps showcased the power of one iconic superhero who is now an instant threat to Doctor Doom.
Sue Storm, played by Vanessa Kirby in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has the powers of force fields by her side. With these powers, she can manipulate the force fields of the cosmic realm around her. Well, with the release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps on digital, a deleted scene has made its way online.
The scene in question (via USA Today) showcases Sue Storm visiting the Subterrania and sitting for a one-on-one talk with Mole Man. During their conversation, Sue Storm mentions that she can use her powers to create a force field in Mole Man’s brain and give him an aneurysm.
The tense moment is broken by the two talking like old friends and sharing a drink. However, this deleted scene just shows how powerful Sue Storm can be if she wills it; hence, she could very well be a powerful threat to Dr. Doom.
Sue Storm’s Deadliest Ability in Fantastic Four Can Defeat Doctor Doom
Well, Sue Storm is a woman of many abilities, but one of the deadliest abilities she possesses is to create a force field inside a brain. With her powers of cosmic energy, Sue Storm can inflict damage upon the brain internally that wouldn’t even be noticed by the villains.
This tactic can be easily used against Doctor Doom since his brain is the biggest power that the Latverian ruler possesses. Although Doctor Doom has a mind power of his own, Sue Storm can, at the very least, disorient Doom in the middle of a fight and take the upper hand in a battle.
Of course, it would be quite tough, but we may have a similar moment like Mantis trying to get Thanos to sleep while the rest of the Avengers pull the Infinity Gauntlet off. Naturally, Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm just became one of the deadliest threats to Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, and the nefarious villain… might not like it.
Avengers: Doomsday Must Reveal More Sue Storm Abilities to Make Her a Powerhouse
With some amazing powers and iconic abilities, it seems that Sue Storm was underutilized in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Well, Marvel Studios will have to change that tactic for Avengers: Doomsday if they plan on continuing the protagonists’ journey.
Akin to how Captain Marvel entered during the final fight with Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, Sue Storm could indeed become that powerhouse of a fighter and help the Avengers in giving Doctor Doom a fair fight during the events of Avengers: Doomsday.
Considering Marvel’s handling of female characters, the studios will need to consider how to approach this subject because one wrong move, and you can have another She-Hulk: Attorney at Law on your hands.
