Fans Believe Forza Horizon 6 Will Be Revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2025 – Here’s Why

Tokyo Game Show is scheduled for this week, and the days leading up to it have been full of leaks and speculation. One such speculation from fans is that Forza Horizon 6 will be a part of the show. A recently posted schedule and program list for the event hints at an Xbox reveal that could be the motorsport title.

But that’s not all the fuel for this particular fire. We’ve gotten multiple other leaks and insider information in the last few months hinting that the next entry in Playground Games‘ racing series could be set in Japan. And if those rumors are true, then it’s very likely that we’ll see the game at TGS 2025. Let’s look at all the details.

Forza Horizon 6‘s Rumored Japan Setting Makes It Perfect for TGS

Playground Games has previously added little bits of Japanese motorsport culture, adding tracks like Fujimi Kaido and the Suzuka Circuit in previous games. But a full open-world map of Japan has been what we’ve been waiting for. And if recent leaks are to be believed, we might get exactly that.

Most recently, Gematsu posted a detailed schedule and lineup list for the different developers that have been scheduled to show up at Tokyo Game Fest 2025. Under the Famitsu/Dengeki Online section, there’s an entry that says, “19:00 – Xbox Title (Microsoft Gaming)

.” And this could very well be Forza Horizon 6.

Another one of the recent leaks we saw was when Australian car importer Cult & Classic posted and then quickly deleted images of Playground developers photographing a Japanese Kei car. If you didn’t know, Kei cars are unique to Japan’s automotive scene, and it would be a bit weird to have them in a game unless the game’s setting demanded it.

And on top of that, Windows Central also recently made a statement regarding the same, saying, “Windows Central has seen documentation suggesting Forza Horizon 6 will be announced at this year’s Tokyo Game Show.” It’s Xbox’s 25th anniversary next year, and with Phil Spencer’s statement from earlier this year, the timeline fits perfectly for the next Forza Horizon.

What Else Can We Expect at Tokyo Game Show 2025?

Of course, if Forza Horizon 6 does show up at TGS 2025, it won’t be the only title getting hype. Even on the Xbox side, Microsoft has its own dedicated broadcast on September 25 at 7 PM JST, where it is expected to showcase multiple projects from first- and third-party teams. We could get an update on the rumored Halo: Combat Evolved Remake, or Fable 4.
