Eric Stonestreet and his longtime girlfriend, Lindsay Schweitzer, have tied the knot, and the newlyweds took to social media to announce this milestone in their relationship.
Stonestreet, who turned 54 on September 09, posted photos from the wedding on his Instagram, stating, “It’s my birthday and guess what I got.” One of the photos was of the two kissing passionately, while another simply said, “The Stonestreets”.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who played Stonestreet’s husband on Modern Family, commented on the post, writing, “Of all second marriages, this one is my favorite.
People confirmed Stonestreet and Schweitzer’s relationship in August 2017, and the actor popped the question in 2021, asking the pediatric nurse to marry him.

Katherine Tokarz was performing in the Broadway musical, Rock of Ages, when she met Stonestreet in 2009. Like many of those who have seen him on Modern Family, Tokarz initially thought he was gay. As per the Daily Mail, Stonestreet said, “I kind of always felt like I had to dig myself out of a bit of a hole and let girls know that I’m actually straight. But she was like, ‘Oh, I was watching ‘The View‘ and saw that you weren’t gay!’“
Talking to E! News back in the day, Stonestreet claimed that he fell in love with Tokarz “almost immediately“. Unfortunately, their relationship didn’t last much longer than that, and they broke up in 2012.
Did Eric Stonestreet Date Charlize Theron?
After his breakup with Tokarz, Stonestreet was rumored to be in a romantic relationship with actress Charlize Theron. In 2012, the Daily Mail released a report claiming that she had fallen for Stonestreet after being introduced to him in Los Angeles earlier that year.
A source stated, “Charlize and Eric get along incredibly well. They started off as friends, but things are blossoming between them.” Apparently, Theron thought “the world of him,” and the two were reportedly very fond of each other.
However, Stonestreet, who was recently cast in Dexter: Resurrection, put an end to those rumors in the most hilarious way possible. He tweeted:

Moreover, a spokesperson for the actor confirmed that nothing romantic was going on between the two and that they had only met twice (via E! News).
Eric Stonestreet and Bethenny Frankel: Friends or More?
Stonestreet was linked to the Real Housewives of New York City alum, Bethenny Frankel, in 2015. She told Bravo TV‘s The Daily Dish that she initially assumed Stonestreet to be gay when the pair first met.
In her words, “I met him at a party, and I thought he was gay, and he commented on my skirt. And I think he thought it was a [cute] skirt, but I thought he was gonna be my gay best friend and that we were gonna go clothes shopping.”
Despite the rumors, Frankel and Stonestreet confirmed the status of their relationship on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. In a very cheeky reply, the actor said, “I think we decided that we make much better friends, but she’s a wonderful kisser“, and the two clinked their glasses together.
