Elden Ring Nightreign’s highly anticipated update is finally upon us. It will be introducing a tough new mode called Deep of Night. This is more than just another patch. The new mode will add a fresh layer of tension and thrill, testing how far you can descend before the darkness consumes you.
However, the new mode won’t unlock immediately after the maintenance is over for the patch; it’s coming a little bit later. Here’s a complete breakdown of the maintenance window, Deep of Night launch times, and everything else you need to know.

Deep of Night Mode Explained: Gameplay & Rewards

The Deep of Night mode is designed as a high-difficulty Expedition Mode, which will push Tarnished to their limits, and a bit more. Enemies will be significantly stronger, and unlike normal encounters, you cannot choose your target Nightlord.
The dynamic terrain will be locked out to force you to adapt to static battlegrounds while seeking out rare treasures. The rewards include Depths Relics and unique weapons, which are imbued with powerful effects but also come with dangerous drawbacks, rewarding risk-takers.
The progress in the mode will be tied to a Depth system, where each victory or defeat shifts your rating and determines how far you can descend. Depths 1-3 present players with an escalating difficulty, while Depths 4-5 bring a new twist with an endless gauntlet, meant only for the most hardened players.
With the mode offering relentless combat, new cursed loot, and ever-rising stakes, Deep of Night mode is going to transform Nightreign and provide you with one of its most thrilling and unforgiving experiences yet.
Which Depth are you aiming to conquer first? Will you stop at 3, or push into the endless battles of 4 and 5? Let us know below.
