Let’s be real gamers, what’s the point of dropping $70 on those AAA titles when free games these days can give you as much fun, if not more? Luckily, this weekend (September 20-21), platforms like Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation have a bunch of free titles to add to your library. These include the likes of WWE 2K25, Away, and several other games. Here’s the complete list of all the free games on these platforms, and why they are worth your time.
Steam
Over on Steam, Lord Gaben is offering 2 free games you must try out this weekend for some ultimate fun –
1. The Leviathan’s Fantasy
Want a perfect mix of strategy, RTS, and simulation all rolled into one? Check out The Leviathan’s Fantasy. You’ll be managing a city in the clouds, and do everything you can to take it to new heights. Build towers, find adventures, and go on expeditions; it’s your world.
2. Away
It’s time for some psychological adventure with Away, free to claim on Steam until September 24, 2025. It’s a short narrative title that explores mortality and other deep concepts. There’s a lot of point and clicking to do with solid sound design and atmosphere.
Xbox Free Play Days
Xbox Free Play Days give gamers a chance to experience some of the hottest titles for a short time for absolutely free. This week, two games are available to Game Pass subscribers, and two are available for all Xbox members to try –
1. Synduality: Echo of Ada (Game Pass)
First up, we have Synduality: Echo of Ada, a PvPvE extraction shooter where you step into a post-apocalyptic world and fight to survive with your AI partner and mech in order to get resources.
2. Matchpoint – Tennis Championships (Game Pass)
It’s time to grab your racket and step onto the court in Matchpoint – Tennis Championships. You can create your own star, go head-to-head against stars, work with coaches, and climb up the ranks.
3. Townscaper
Townscaper is a simple sandbox experience that lets you build a vibrant town. You can switch up colours, shape neighborhoods, and enjoy a relaxing gameplay loop.
4. Ship of Fools
Ship of Fools is a co-op rouguelite where you can bring your friend for a sea adventure. Take control of a ship and battle waves of enemies. There’s a lot of replayability and a fantastic atmosphere.
PlayStation Plus
PlayStation Plus is offering Extra and Premium members the chance to dive into 7 different games this week –
1. WWE 2K25
The epic wrestling franchise is back with WWE 2K25, bigger and better than ever. With hundreds of stars, fresh features, and improved mechanics, it’s the ultimate wrestling showcase.
2. Persona 5 Tactica
Persona 5 Tactica is a spin-off that brings a turn-based strategy adventure. You must build up a squad, plan your moves, and unravel the hidden mysteries that stand in your way.
3. Green Hell
Step into the nightmare Amazon rainforest in Green Hell. You need to hunt, craft, and survive in one of the most hostile environments to make your way through the jungle.
4. Fate/Samurai Remnant
Fate/Samurai Remnant allows you to experience the Edo period in a hack-and-slash RPG. You can have tons of weapons to master and a thrilling adventure.

6. The Invincible
The Invincible follows the story of an astrobiologist whose scientific mission goes off the rails when their crewmates go missing. You must find them and survive on this mysterious planet.
7. Conscript
Finally, we have a top-down survival horror called Conscript. It’s set during the Great War, and you play as a soldier who must find his ally and survive. As a soldier, you’ll do anything to find your ally, face challenges, and solve puzzles.
