Did AJ Styles Take a Cheap Shot at Triple H on WWE RAW: “Somebody doesn’t want me here”

AJ Styles just scored a win against El Grande Americano on WWE Raw, but not before he cut a promo where he seemingly went after Triple H. The promo was placed during the commercials, giving fans the impression that Styles was going off the books for this promo. WWE later posted the video, sharing that Styles “GOES OFF on Monday Night Raw officials.”

He shared that “someone” in the company was orchestrating matches in a way that he couldn’t win. He shared that he has been receiving no help or no one to watch his back during his matches. He then went on to share that somebody in the company didn’t want him there. He shared:

For the first time in my career, I’ve got no one watching my back. Gallows, Anderson, they’re not here. Michin, she’s on SmackDown. It’s like someone orchestrated a way for me not to win anymore. Not to have help.

I’ll let you make your own conclusions. By the way, we are here right now and all over the world, but everybody is in a commercial break, I’m telling you something that you’re probably not supposed to hear. But somebody doesn’t want me here.

Fans speculated that the wrestler was taking a dig at Triple H for making poor bookings for him. Styles further shared that he was going to beat El Grande Americano in order to get back at that person who didn’t want him there.

However, during the match, Styles received help from Dragon Lee after a second Americano came in to help El Grande Americano. Interestingly, the two Americanos are portrayed by Ludwig Kaiser and Pete Dunne. Chad Gable, who originally plays the character, is out due to surgery.

AJ Styles’ Son Also Called Out Triple H for Disrespecting His Father

It isn’t just AJ Styles or his fans who are frustrated with the kind of booking the wrestler was getting on WWE. Recently, Styles posted a sand timer counting down on Instagram, with the caption, “Time is not up yet.” It raised several speculations about his contract and potential retirement.

Fans also took the opportunity to be vocal about how Styles has been receiving poor bookings throughout 2025. When one of the fans shared, “The way HHH is disrespecting AJ is legit pissing me off,” it received a response from Ajay Covell Jones, the son of Styles.

In a now-deleted comment, he replied, “You ain’t the only one man” (via Ringside News). It appears that even Styles’ family believes that Triple H has been disrespecting Styles with the bookings. Last week, Styles was pitted against Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship.

Despite the overwhelming support for Styles, Mysterio cheated in the end and managed to retain the title for himself. Fans were particularly frustrated after the match, with some alleging that Triple H didn’t have any long-term plans for Styles.

Fans were happy for AJ Styles when he re-signed with WWE earlier this year. It was a one-year extension which is set to expire on February next year. According to The Takedown on Sports Illustrated, before Styles signed the extension, he put out feelers outside of WWE.

He was supposedly generating interest from other promoters who would have him after his run with WWE. The report also said that many promoters were very interested in working with the wrestler, and some even had some early discussions before his re-signing.

Styles earlier talked about retiring from in-ring action once he turned 50, which happens right after his contract expiry next year. If he plans to retire, WWE could plan a huge departure for the wrestler during Road to WrestleMania 42.
