Dandadan Season 3: Which Manga Arc Will Netflix’s Best Anime Adapt?

As Season 2 almost wraps up the Kaiju Arc, we’re now left with a huge cliffhanger that has set up the stage for the Space Globalist Arc in Dandadan Season 3. While there are still 2 more chapters left to adapt from the Kaiju Arc, it’s fair to say the next Dandadan arc is already in full swing.

Season 3’s production has been officially announced. So, it’s just a matter of time before the anime’s next instalment drops. The upcoming arc is known to be the best in the manga so far. So, what exactly can we expect, and how will season 3 turn out? Here’s everything we know so far.

Upcoming Manga Arc That Dandadan Season 3 Will Adapt

With episode 12 (the final episode of Dandadan season 2), a total of 71 manga chapters have been adapted so far. Knowing the anime has two seasons so far, each with 12 episodes, both seasons have typically covered around 35 chapters. Now, if this trend continues in Season 3, the entire season will mainly focus on the Space Globalist Arc.

Okarun’s dream of learning more about the aliens will finally come true, though it will also bring some unwanted consequences as a side effect. Plus, the action and storytelling are expected to surpass those of the previous arcs.

Several new characters are also set to be introduced in the next season, though none of them have been officially confirmed yet. More information about Dandadan season 3 might be revealed at the 2026 Jump Festa event, including a potential release window, cast updates, and production details.

Dandadan Season 3 Will Be Better Than the Prior Seasons

Right after season 2 ended, the Dandadan anime was officially renewed for a third season through an announcement on the anime’s official X account. Although no release window has been confirmed yet, we can expect a significant delay, with Season 3 likely arriving sometime in 2027.

This is because the Space Globalist Arc is the longest and most significant arc in the manga so far, which means adapting it might take considerable time for Studio Science SARU. It features some of the craziest panels in the series up to this point, which is saying a lot, given how wild the manga already is.

Considering this is Netflix’s biggest hit of summer 2025, Season 3 will have no room for mistakes. And Studio Science SARU must be well aware of that. Unlike the previous arcs, Season 3 will have a lot more going on, so the studio should take its time to deliver its best work. No compromises should be made.

A full-on alien invasion, major power-ups, and some real growth for the main cast will take place. On top of that, several characters will also have their spotlight moments. A lot of fans straight up call this the best arc in the series, and honestly, it’s hard to argue. So, are you excited for Dandadan Season 3?

Seasons 1 and 2 of DanDaDan are currently available to watch on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
