Donald Trump and Elon Musk appear to have put aside their differences as they were seen together at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service. They previously had an ugly public feud before their appearance alongside UFC President Dana White and Fox News host Jesse Watters at the event. A lip reader has now revealed the alleged conversation that took place between them.
Nicola Hickling told the Daily Mail that as Musk approached Trump, the latter turned to him and greeted him, “How are you doing?”. Musk responded to that with a shrug, following which Trump allegedly said, “So Elon, I’ve heard you wanted to chat.”
Hickling shared that Trump then went on to suggest to Musk, “Let’s try and work out how to get back on track.” Musk nodded in agreement to this suggestion. The U.S. President then held his hands and allegedly said, “I’ve missed you.”
Trump later addressed his conversation with Musk during an interview with reporters. He shared:
Elon came over and said hello. I thought it was nice he came up and had a little conversation. We had a very good relationship. But it was nice that he came down.
President Trump spoke at Kirk’s memorial service. He attended the service alongside his sons Donald Trump Jr. & Eric Trump, daughter-in-law Lara Trump, and son-in-law Jared Kushner. Musk wrote on X that he was “honored” to attend Kirk’s memorial service.

Interestingly, Musk and Kirk were two of the biggest Republican advocates during last year’s election. Musk spent over $290 million in Trump’s campaign while Kirk hosted events on college campuses across the nation, convincing youngsters to register to vote.
Other Celebrities Who Attended Charlie Kirk’s Memorial Service in Arizona
Besides President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Dana White, the memorial service was attended by several political leaders, conservative commentators, and other celebrities (via The New York Times). Vice President J.D. Vance, who was a longtime friend of Charlie Kirk, was in attendance. He earlier carried Kirk’s casket at his funeral.
The memorial service was held at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Kirk’s wife, Erika Kirk, spoke at the service. She was recently appointed the CEO of Turning Point USA after her husband’s death.
Mike Johnson, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, was also seen at the service. Right-wing commentator Benny Johnson, conservative commentator Tucker Carlson, and former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Ben Carson, also spoke at the service.
Other politicians in attendance included Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Secretary of Education Linda McMahon, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, and Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Christian music artists Lee Greenwood and Steve Amerson performed at the service. Other artists like Brandon Lake, Chris Tomlin, Kari Jobe, Cody Carnes, and Phil Wickham were also part of the memorial service.
Other prominent conservative figures at the service included Frank Turek, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Laura Loomer, Kari Lake, Matt Walsh, Patrick Bet-David, Kyle Rittenhouse, James O’Keefe, and Riley Gaines.
Elon Musk Earlier Made Several Accusations Against Donald Trump
Since June 2025, Donald Trump and Elon Musk have been engaged in social media attacks. Musk left his position as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency. He questioned several moves of the President, including the landmark One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which Musk accused of increasing government debt.
Trump later called him a “bullsh*t” artist and even said that it was time “he went back to where he came from.” Musk escalated the attacks by claiming in a now-deleted tweet that Trump’s name was on the Jeffrey Epstein files and that the President should be impeached.
While Musk later shared that his accusation against Trump went too far, he attacked the President again. In one of his posts, he claimed that the Justice Department’s review was “a cover up (obviously)”, while in another, he claimed that “so many powerful people want that list suppressed” (via ABC News).
When Trump called the Epstein files a “hoax”, Musk shared, “Wow, amazing that Epstein ‘killed himself’ and Ghislaine is in federal prison for a hoax.” Musk even went on to mock how Trump handled his past issues. He shared, “Admit nothing; 2. Deny everything; 3. Make counterclaims.”
After Musk’s earlier criticism of Trump, the President wrote on Truth Social, “I am saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely ‘off the rails,’ essentially becoming a TRAIN WRECK over the past five weeks” (via The NY Times).
