Hollywood actor Raymond Cruz, best known for his role as Tuco Salamanca in the Emmy-winning series Breaking Bad and its spinoff Better Call Saul, was arrested on Monday, September 8, 2025, in Los Angeles. The arrest came after a reported dispute with his neighbor around 10:40 a.m., with Cruz taken into custody on suspicion of misdemeanor battery.
Cruz, 60, has had a decades-long career in Hollywood. He is also known for playing Detective Julio Sanchez in the police drama The Closer and its spinoff, Major Crimes.
Why Raymond Cruz Was Arrested?
According to TMZ, Raymond Cruz was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery after someone reported him claiming that he had allegedly sprayed a girl with a garden hose.

Sources say that Cruz was washing his car outside his Silver Lake home when he asked the girl to move. When she didn’t, some water reportedly hit her, which she believes was intentional.
LAPD officer David Cuellar has released a statement, saying, “There was basically a dispute with the victim, which is when Cruz allegedly sprayed water towards the victim” (as per People).
The Breaking Bad star has since been released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on October 1.
Raymond Cruz’s Agent Denies ‘Outrageous’ Accusations After Arrest
Raymond Cruz’s agent, Raphael Berko, has denied the allegations against the Breaking Bad star, calling them “so outrageous and dangerous,” according to Entertainment Weekly. Berko told People that the incident happened when Cruz was washing his car in front of his house in Los Angeles, and three women in a minivan parked “a half an inch” from his vehicle.

Cruz reportedly asked them to move the minivan, but they denied. “They said no,” Berko told People, adding, “He goes, ‘come on, move your car. You’re not giving me room, and it’s going to get wet.’ So, he said, ‘Okay.’ He started to clean his car, and then they started filming him.”
When Cruz asked them not to film, water from his hose accidentally splashed onto their vehicle, prompting one of the women to call the police. Berko expressed disbelief that Cruz, who has no prior arrests, was handcuffed and taken into custody in his own neighborhood.
“And somehow someone who’s never been arrested in his life….someone who lives in that neighborhood, was put in handcuffs and taken to jail,” he said. However, he added that Cruz was thankful to LAPD officers, describing them as gracious and supportive throughout the five hours of his being in their jail.
