While Asta is too much hype and yelling, Yuno is too busy trying to maintain his perfectly stoic image. Both are at two extremes.
Yami, on the other hand, has a kind of presence that cannot be ignored. Whether it is his quiet confidence or the aesthetics of a seasoned soldier, Black Clover fans can feel themselves being pulled towards him. The immature elements that both Yuno and Asta carry are nowhere to be found in Yami, and it makes him attractive.
Yami’s Backstory Gives Him a Dark and Mysterious Spin
Yami was born in Hino Country. However, he was driven away from his home country. His violent and manic father got into a fit of drunken violence and tried to forcefully draw out Yami’s latent magic power. The end result was the slaughter of the rest of the clan, and Yami taking the blame for it.
Ever since then, Yami had been on the run and ended up in the Clover Kingdom. There, he was met with racial discrepancies. He toiled day in and day out just for the sake of becoming strong. Even though he had no one to rely on, he grew up to be someone whom others can rely on.
As a result, the entire Black Bull squad considers Yami as not just a leader but as a positive mentor and guide. This makes Yami seem even more attractive as he provided to others what he himself couldn’t receive at a young age. This maturity in character makes him even more swoonworthy.
