Alien: Earth Season 1 Episode 8 Theory May’ve Put Morrow On Risk

Alien: Earth Season 1, Episode 8 preview is out, and the finale is near. The preview shows Morrow’s left eye swelled, which has stirred up a theory of the possible ending of Season 1. It might be possible that the Prodigy scientists might’ve removed his implants, or it is related to the eyed octopus, T. Ocellus. The first reason seems plausible, but things can go wayward, given it’s a finale.

After an epic cliffhanger in Episode 7, Morrow (Babou Ceesay) and the Yutani soldiers are taken hostage by Kirsh. Therefore, it becomes safe to say that the finale episode is gearing up for something more than just a war.

Alien: Earth Season 1 Finale: Will the Eyeball Octopus Claim Its Next Victim?

Who might be T. Ocellus’ victim? Morrow? Or some other person? In the previous episode, Boy Kavalier seems to be overexcited about the fact that the eyeball octopus, known as the T. Ocellus, has intelligence that exceeds any of his hybrids.

Kavalier’s extremes might cost him more than anything. He asks his employee, Atom Eins (Adrian Edmondson), to find a human who can serve as a host for T. Ocellus. Initially hesitant, he agrees.

What comes next remains uncertain. The eyeball octopus’s presence feels ominous and directs towards a much bigger threat. Therefore, it is a threat or an ally, posing a great question to answer.

The looming octopus showdown could very well decide the fate of Season 1’s climax. With its unpredictable nature, whether it strikes as a lethal predator or exposes a hidden truth about the Alien invasion, it will be intriguing to watch the finale unfold.

Apart from FX and Hulu airings in the United States, the show’s finale episode will also be available to stream on Disney+ internationally.

In an interview with Evolution of Horror, creator Noah Hawley teased the probable Season 2, saying,

I do. I think that I have a destination in mind, story-wise, which allows me to know what the story is I’m telling, what it means. And you know, the question becomes: how streamlined can we make the process so that you’re not waiting for three, or four, or five years for more?

The episodes to date have been terrific, offering gory visuals but a fresh perspective storyline as against its movie contraries. Though Alien: Earth is a prequel to Ridley Scott’s 1979 film, Alien, it feels newer and coming-of-age show.

So while you wait for the finale to unfold and leave a cliffhanger, drop in your theories about how the first season is going to conclude!

Alien: Earth is available to stream on Hulu (US).
