AJ Styles’ Son is Fed Up With How Triple H is Ruining AJ’s Legacy

AJ Styles has conquered the hearts of wrestling fans in several other promotions apart from the WWE. However, despite holding multiple WWE world titles in his tenure, ‘The Phenomenal’s’ son, Ajay Covell Jones, recently voiced his frustration with the way Triple H and Co. have been using him lately.

Jones expressed his disgust by replying to a fan’s comment on one of his father’s Instagram posts. (via FadeAwayMedia on X)

The subject matter of Styles’ Instagram post made the reason for Jones’ frustration even more apparent.

AJ Styles Doesn’t Have a Lot of Years Left in His Career

After debuting in 1998 in the independent scene, Styles gained significant popularity during his brief stint with WCW in 2001. However, the 48-year-old became a household name in the wrestling community after joining TNA in 2002.

Styles had an eleven-year-long career in the promotion (from 2002 to 2013) during which he held almost every major title of the promotion, including the TNA X Division Championship. (six times)

Styles wrestled for various promotions for the next three years, including ROH and NJPW, before finally inking a contract with the WWE in 2016. Triple H and Co. quickly recognized Styles’ star power and involved him in storylines with the top names, including John Cena.

Subsequently, Styles evolved into one of the brightest stars on the WWE roster, with multiple title reigns, including the WWE Championship (two times). However, it is 2025 now, and Styles is currently in the twenty-seventh year of his pro-wrestling career. A recent Instagram post from ‘The Phenomenal’ hinted that his retirement might not be far away.

Styles may have captioned his post, “Time is not up yet,” but the level of ‘The Phenomenal’ sand in the sand clock indicates that he probably won’t be around for many more years.

The comments section of the post showcased how several fans were gutted by the way WWE has been booking Styles lately. One of them penned:

“The way HHH is disrespecting AJ [Styles] is legit pi**ing me off” (via bulletclubtre on Instagram

Styles’ son chimed in with the fan’s opinion, replying:

“You ain’t the only one man” (via @ajaayyss On Instagram)

Despite appearing in a few high-voltage clashes, including the Royal Rumble and SummerSlam, Styles has made significantly fewer appearances in the WWE this year. Given his recent hint related to his retirement, it seems like fans want to watch him in action a lot more.

What can be next for AJ Styles?

Styles returned to TNA on July 20 to compete at their Slammiversary event, but it was just a cross-promotional appearance, which WWE and TNA agreed to facilitate earlier this year. ‘The Phenomenal’ soon came back to the WWE and had a memorable match with Dominik Mysterio at SummerSlam.

Fans have been awaiting the next chapter of Styles’ rivalry with Mysterio, but the 48-year-old has yet to make an appearance after his segment on the August 25 episode of Raw.

With Triple H and Co. obliging fans’ wishes about AJ Lee’s return, it won’t be surprising if ‘Phenomenal’ plays out at a subsequent WWE episode to interrupt Mysterio’s in-ring rant on the mic.
