Legendary weapons in Dying Light: The Beast are scattered all across the gorgeously detailed open world of Castor Woods, so finding them will take you into uncharted territories filled with the infected. From the Elite Pistol to the Last Hand of gloVa Consumable, here are the 5 best Legendary Weapons in Dying Light: The Beast and how you can find them.
1. The Elite Pistol
The Elite Pistol in Dying Light: The Beast lives up to its name, and you can unlock it as soon as you step into the infected world of Castor Woods. It’s locked inside a military traincar located on the bridge to the right of the Monastery in the National Park area. On the bridge, you’ll notice multiple military traincars with infected swarming around them, so take care of them first.
Open the traincar doors using lockpicks, and you’ll come across an infected soldier. Loot the keycard from him, turn on the generator located inside an open traincar on the bridge’s end, then take the power cable from that traincar and connect it to the power coupling inside the traincar situated on the left straight ahead.
More enemies will pop up, so stay alert at all times. Once you’re done connecting the cable, open the locked door on the right using the keycard that you looted from the infected soldier, and you’ll notice the Elite Legendary Pistol lying on a shelf to your right.
2. The Strauss&Broda Machete
The Strauss&Broda Legendary Machete is relatively easier to find in Dying Light: The Beast, as it’s locked inside a room, located on the roof of a building near the Nate Market (Dark Zone) in the Industrial Zone. Make your way to the roof of the building, and you’ll notice a locked blue door. Unlock it by lockpicking, and inside the room, you’ll detect a locked wall-mounted cabinet on the left.
Knock on the cabinet 77 times to unlock it, and you’ll find the Strauss&Broda Legendary One-Handed Machete sitting inside the cabinet. It looks stylish and plays even better, so give it a whirl with Kyle’s beastly powers.
3. The Needle SMG
The Needle Legendary SMG in Dying Light: The Beast is located inside a container near the Mountain Shelter Tower Safe Zone in the National Park area. Enter it using the open hatch from the top, and inside, you’ll notice a generator. You need to turn it on, grab the power cable from behind, and exit the container in the same way you entered. Attach the cable to the power coupling under the building’s front window.
This will open the building’s shutter incredibly slowly, with infected spawning inside and outside. Once you’ve cleared the area, enter the Nature Reserve building through the open shutter, unlock the door on the left by lockpicking, and the Needle will be sitting right in front of you on a table.
4. The Ciupaga One-Handed Axe
The Ciupaga One-Handed Axe is also located in the National Park area on the tall building near the edge of the cliff. To make things easier, the building will be marked on your map with a red rectangle. Climb the roof of the building until you reach a blocked wooden balcony entrance.
The Ciupaga One-Handed Legendary Axe will be located right above it. The position’s a bit awkward, but for the axe, it’s more than worth it since its description reads “in case of throwing, return to sender,” so you can imagine the possibilities in Dying Light: The Beast.
5. The Last Hand of Glova Consumable
The Last Hand of gloVa Consumable in Dying Light: The Beast is in the National Park area. Head southeast while going to the Monastery, and you’ll come across a brick building on the bridge. Head inside until you face the wall with the “9¾” marking (a fun Harry Potter easter egg), and go right through the wall.
Once inside, head right, then left, and you’ll notice Minecraft dirt blocks standing in your way. This area can get confusing, but as long as you can break the blocks to make a path, you’re on the right track. Kill the infected, and you’ll eventually come across a train behind a door. Head to the back of the train, and you’ll find the Last Hand of gloVa Legendary Consumable.
