S*x scenes have been a part of Hollywood for several decades. From artistic scenes that build up with romance to scenes that are vital to the plot, these scenes have been points of discussion for a long time.
A recent list by Cosmopolitan revealed the top 10 best s*x scenes of all time, and surprisingly Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio aren’t even in the Top 5. From Titanic to The Handmaiden, here are the top 10 best s*x scenes of all time, ranked.
10 Best S*x Scenes of All Time, Ranked

Well, it does seem pretty weird that Titanic is not even in the top 5, but what’s even more funny is that the s*x scene from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is at #10 on this list!
Check out the full list by Cosmopolitan below:
- 10. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2,
- 9. Titanic, 1997
- 8. Y Tu Mamá También, 2001
- 7. Mr. & Mrs. Smith, 2005
- 6. Sinners, 2025
- 5. The Notebook, 2004
- 4. Disobedience, 2017
- 3. Red, White & Royal Blue, 2023
- 2. Mississippi Masala, 1992
- 1. The Handmaiden, 2016
We do agree that Sinners is indeed at the perfect spot, and even the s*x scene from The Notebook was also pretty spot on. However, it does seem… weird that the scene from Titanic didn’t even make it to the Top 5 since it was one of the most beautifully shot scenes in the history of Hollywood.
The Leonardo DiCaprio-Kate Winslet S*x Scene Was More Than Just Lust

Well, of course, it’s not to say that the carriage s*x scene in Titanic wasn’t the best. However, it didn’t deserve #9 on the list, at least. Back in 1997, James Cameron really did the unthinkable by casting two of the hottest stars in his iconic masterpiece.
The flirtation starts with Rose and Jack meeting at the docks and a dance sequence. From then on, it goes through its ups and downs as Jack takes Rose to see the other side of the rich world, where the wealth is not materialistic.
Taking Jack to her private stateroom, Jack draws Rose naked. The sharpening of the charcoal, Jack Dawson’s flinching gaze, and Rose’s smile are enough to say that Jack was quite nervous. Cameron made a playful tense scene, which later resulted in Jack and Rose going to the cargo hold and being intimate inside a car.
